I work with an international group of clients to strengthen their words and their voices online, in print, and for the stage. For over fifteen years, I have edited memoirs, biographies, health and wellness titles, books for children, and film histories for both publishers and independent authors. In addition to authors, I coach clients through the creation of TED talks and speeches and help brands to craft compelling messages that connect with online audiences.
I began my professional writing career twenty-five years ago, in the age of dial up, penning a weekly column for AOL while attending UCLA. I spent the next decade writing primarily about film and television, which led to my role as managing editor of CinemaEditor magazine. Excited by new media and the way it amplified underrepresented voices, I began writing and editing for online clients, including a social media ethics column for BlogHer.com (then the largest social media platform for women) where I educated writers across the blogosphere to better understand IP and online netiquette.
It is a great privilege to help people share their stories. The act of writing often begins as a solitary practice, but it takes a village to bring that writing into the world. Along the way, I have created a village of writers, editors, agents, graphic designers, and other creative professionals with whom I am thrilled to collaborate on Mad Lit projects. Let’s tell your story.
